Overview:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, ensuring sound financial management and contributing to the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, a deep understanding of the crypto industry, and a proven track record of managing financial operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is a remote position with occasional travel requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's growth objectives
- Manage and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Manage cash flow and working capital, optimizing liquidity and maximizing returns
- Navigate the complexities of crypto accounting, including handling digital assets, tokens, and transactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and compliance requirements related to crypto finance.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on financial management and analysis
- Strong understanding of the crypto ecosystem, including knowledge of digital assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), and blockchain technology
- Proven track record of managing financial operations and driving financial performance
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools
- Leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing a finance team
- Experience in fundraising, venture capital, or investment banking in the crypto or blockchain industry is a plus
